About Us
Faust House Scrap N Craft & Art Supplies was created from a lifelong love of creativity and a desire to bring quality art materials to the Manitou Beach community. Owner Kristy Faust opened the shop on May 24, 2025, after discovering the Lakeview Boulevard space was available, and deciding it was time to turn a long-held dream into reality.
While Kristy works full-time as a nurse anesthetist, her passion for crafting has always been part of who she is. Inspired by generations of makers in her family, she grew up surrounded by creativity and eventually found her own love for scrapbooking, journaling, painting, and paper crafts. Today, that passion is what fuels Faust House.
The shop offers supplies for artists and crafters of all ages. Adults will find materials for scrapbooking, journaling, acrylic painting, and card making, while kids can explore art kits, colored pencils, crayons, play-dough, paper pads, and plenty of “keep-them-busy” projects for rainy days.
Faust House is more than a retail space—it’s a creative hub. The store hosts workshops for anyone interested in learning new techniques and plans to offer crafting retreats at local inns, giving people a chance to relax, create, and connect. Kristy’s goal is simple: to encourage people to shop local for their art supplies and make creativity accessible right here in the community.
The business is truly family-run, with Kristy working alongside her grandson Christian Faust, granddaughter Tilly Faust, and team member Jaylee Holly. Together, they’ve created a welcoming space where creativity, learning, and community come first.
Whether you’re an experienced artist, a scrapbooker, or just looking for a fun project to try, Faust House invites you to stop in, get inspired, and make something wonderful.
Meet Kristy
Kristy Faust is the founder and creative force behind Faust House Scrap N Craft & Art Supplies. While she works full-time as a nurse anesthetist, creativity has always been part of her life. Raised in a family of makers, Kristy grew up crafting alongside her grandmother and great-grandmother, experiences that sparked a lifelong love of art and hands-on projects.
Although she once imagined starting her business in retirement, Kristy decided not to wait when the perfect space became available in Manitou Beach. She turned that moment into an opportunity to create a welcoming place where people of all ages could explore their creativity, learn new skills, and shop local for quality art supplies.
Today, Kristy runs Faust House alongside family members and a small, passionate team, building a community-centered shop that celebrates learning, connection, and the joy of making something by hand.
